Rise of the "Arno" Machines

No, this is not Arnie as the Terminator back for another blockbusting sequel. This is "Arno", a range of dedicated production machinery used to manufacture products such as ring binders, letter files, magazine storage boxes and pallet collars.

The machines range from single head riveting and punching machines through to automatic in-line assembly cells.

A good example of what makes Arno unique can be seen with the Arno 1024 machine. This is an example of a fully automatic in-line assembly machine for ring binders.

Competitive Edge for Europe

The 1024 is designed especially for short production runs and can be quickly changed over to suit a wide range of different products. For example, it can be set up to produce products using raw materials including manilla, paper, board, PVC, PP and PE. This makes it ideal for short production runs for a wide range of different products.

This makes it an ideal tool for cusomers in Euope who are looking for ways to gain a competitive edge.

In our experience, the need for versatile, low volume production machinery with rapid changeover capability is increasing throughout Euope. As high volume, mass production has moved to the Far East, the demand for equipment which allows for low volume production runs, frequent changeovers, yet maintaining high productivity and consistently high quality of output has increased.

Modular

For this reason ,the automation in the Arno 1024 is built up in a modular manner so as to be configurable for individual customer needs. This means that a basic machine can be purchased and modules can be added for extra functionality as required such as:-
  • Creasing
  • Hole Punching
  • Ring Setting
  • Riveting
  • Strip Positioning
  • Adhesive Labelling
  • Foil Blocking
  • Barcode Setting

Production speed varies depending on the product being produced and a top speed of 40 parts per minute is possible.

Arno 1024 Automatic in-line assembly machine

Not a Cyborg

Alas, unlike Arnie, the Arno 1024 is not a Cyborg with combined natural and artificial intelligence but it does have rather smart CE compliant controls and integrated safety system with in-process monitoring. The machine can even be loaded and unloaded without the need to stop production.

The "Arno 1024 in-line assembly machine" is part of a range of machines including stand-alone riveters and punching machines which have been designed and built specifically for the needs of the stationery and packaging industies.
