The Adtech machines are designed to achieve cost savings across a wide variety of applications including automotive assemblies, air conditioning ducts, stainless steel fabrications and construction frameworks.
The images above show two machines from the range and a typical application example. The application shown is a 6mm steel joint (as used in the construction industry) which has been riveted together using two self piercing rivets. The rivets have been set using an Adtech RRHV2000 machine which inserts the rivets, both at the same time, directly into the parent steel without the need for preformed holes!
Reduce Assembly Time
The main benefits of using these machines is that they include an automatic rivet feed system and a very fast cycle time of less than 0.5 seconds. Combined, these features allow users to achieve very high productivity and repeatability. These are industrial quality machines which are an ideal upgrade from conventional C-frame portable riveters which are often seen as being slow and inconsistent by comparison. It is also not necessary to use proprietary rivets as the Adtech machines all use a standard rivet feed hopper system which means that the rivets do not require any special carrier or tape mechanism which can be expensive.
Accuracte and Consistent
Rivet setting forces of up to 25 tonnes are derived on the Adtech's from an electric motor (up to 5HP), flywheel and toggle lever powertrain. A jaw carrier and spindle block assembly ensures that the setting force is accurately and consistently delivered to the rivet head to provide consistent rivet setting time and time again.
There are machine options for long reach, long stroke, underfeeding and double head riveting. Safety is built-in on all machines with a heavy duty, non-repeat clutch mechanism and electronic "Smart Guard" safety device. The machines can be operated on their own by an operator or integrated into an automatic assembly cell.
