Repairs and Call Outs:

Our standard call out charge is £49+VAT which includes a diagnosis of the machine problem. We will arrange for an Engineer to visit at the earliest convenient date.
For customers who require an urgent visit, there is an upgrade option available to get you to the front of the queue! When booking a call out simply state whether you want a regular scheduled visit (£49+VAT) or whether you want a priority call out (£99+VAT).
Here is a simple 3 step guide explaining how our call out and repair service works:-
Step 1 - Talk to us:

Step 2 - Call Out:
Arrange a visit with our Engineer. The visit will include a machine check-up and root cause analysis. This costs from £49 plus VAT and will help you to decide whether to go ahead with a repair (also....read below on how to save money on the call out!).
Step 3 - Repair:
Relax while we take care of your problem. The repair itself will be charged extra to the call out charge. Repair costs can vary depending upon the nature of the problem and the cause. Our Engineer will be able to advise the cost before the machine is repaired to help you make the right choice about your machine. He will also be able to tell you about the cause of the problem in case there is something you can do to help prevent the problem re-occuring.
What if the repair cost is over my budget?
If you decide not to go ahead with the repair, then all you pay is the call out charge.
What if new parts need to be ordered?
No problem! We take care of all the details for you, including ordering of parts and arranging a time to return and fit them.
What if the problem is not solved ?
We will look after you and arrange for our Engineer to return for a second diagnosis if the problem is not solved.
What is your hourly charge?
We only charge for the first call out (per problem) plus the repair. There are no hidden charges and certainly no hourly charges to worry about.
What if the problem can't be fixed?
All faults can be fixed but in some cases, it is simply not cost effective to repair a machine. If we feel that you could be throwing good money after bad by having the machine repaired, then we will tell you and explain why.
If you decide that your machine is beyond economic repair, our Engineer will be able to help you find a suitable repalcement machine to suit your work out routine and budget.
Can you take my old machine away?
In most cases, we are able to remove your old machine if it is beyond economic repair. We charge a minimum fee of £35+VAT to cover our costs in dismantling and recycling your machine. Please call us on 01386 555630 or mention it to our Engineer.

Please be aware that charges for "self diagnosed" problems are payable upfront and that Northwick do not accept liability for problems resulting from your diagnosis. If you are not sure, then it is best to arrange a call out first!
