Sharp eyed observers will have noticed that Scooby has had a makeover recently. But the changes are not simply cosmetic or a lame marketing ploy designed to breathe life into an old dog. 

Oh no, Scooby has in fact been redesigned, reborn and he is better, faster and meaner than before!

When Orbitform first introduced Watchdawg it was a first in the industry. It brought together analog and digital monitoring devices into one elegantly designed controls product which could be fitted as an option across the product range.

New Watchdawg can now be used across different product ranges with new applications now possible in impact riveting, welding and rollforming. It has also been developed for the new "Spiralform" product range and featured in the Automechanika Inovations Awards in Frankfurt in 2008.

Easy to use

At the heart of Watchdawg is powerful monitoring and control system which is accessed by a touch screen menu screen which is both easy to navigate and logical in it's design. The control system uses standard, commercially available parts which, uniquely, allows customers to use a single PLC control system (which can even be of there own choice). The images above and below are represntative of the menus screens.

The Watchdawg philosophy relies on static and dynamic windows to display process variation and alarms for process stability. Information is exchangeable with MS Office applications and displayed in a variety of real-time graphical or data formats. each cell may have its own list of recipients for web accessible charts and history.

Flexibility

Instead of forcing customers to conform to preprogrammed black box products, Watchdawg affords our customers the opportunity to effectively and very efficiently create the process control or process monitoring package they need.

Watchdawg compares set limits to actual data gathered during welding, evaluating to dermine whether to accept or reject the processed part. Machine process parameters are not affected.
